Program Positions
Baldwin Cares
Provide assistance to the Baldwin Cares VP by assisting with donation drives held throughout the year. Drives include clothing, food and school supplies to benefit our school families in need, the nurse’s office, outside agencies and Baldwin’s Love Pantry. In addition, the Baldwin Cares Committee provides an after school snack program for our children with the greatest need and also a birthday treat program, who are identified confidentially by the school. The committee also works with outside agencies and school administration to provide food supplies for our families in need during the holidays and in the summer months. Baldwin Cares Coordinators include:

• Giving Tree Coordinator (Holiday Gifts)
• Pantry Coordinator
Communications Committee
Assist the VP of Communications with the publicity of PTA events and programs. Duties could include (depending on interest and need) website maintenance/development, PTA bulletin board, copying and distribution of flyers, and graphic creation.
Hospitality
Responsible for coordinating PTA hospitality at various functions throughout the school year. Committee members will arrange the refreshments provided at PTA sponsored events, such as the First Day of School Coffee, Staff Thanksgiving Luncheon,Volunteer Appreciation Coffee, and more. Committee also serves as the PTA’s “welcome wagon” to new parents, welcoming them, answering questions and attempting to recruit new PTA members and volunteers. Members will also serve as greeters during the first week of school and at new parent and new family events. The time commitment varies and is flexible.
BPE Dads Club
Works on campus beautification efforts and school-based mentor program. Participates in annual “Dads Take Your Child to School Day,” sponsored by FL Department of Education.
New Parent Orientation
Works closely with the PTA Board, the school registrar, and principal to organize a spring orientation for incoming kindergarten parents and other new families.
On-Call Volunteer
Would you like to help out with the PTA, but you’re not sure what’s needed? Do you have limited time, but you’d still like to help when you can? Add your name and email to our general volunteer list, used when additional volunteers are needed. Volunteer opportunities could include picture day, vision screening, Book Fair, cafeteria helpers, and more.
